Funnymen Dave Fulton and Gordon Southern perform at Leeds, whilst comedians Paul Chowdhry, Tom Stade, Jarred Christmas, Wayne Deakin, Michael Fabbri and Mike Bubbins are to appear at Reading on The Alternative Stage.

Previous year the week-long event start to showcase local talent and warm up music fans for the main event at Bramham Park over the bank holiday weekend.

More than 140 locations around the city bands, musicians and acts from 18 to 24 August.

On the bill including Carpe Diem, The New Conservatory, Milo, The Dry Dock, Empire, The Northern Monkey,The Grove, Baby Jupiter, The Well, Stone Roses Bar, Sandinista, Smokestack and The Ship.

An outdoor stage will also be on Briggate Saturday, 20 August, Leeds band popular with middle headline act.

Festival Republic said that his sister has already had tickets for the event in Reading but some were still available for Leeds.

Indie rock band Muse are perform at the festival on opening night over the August Bank Holiday weekend at Bramham Park, near Wetherby.

Speaking prior to yesterday’s Press day, Melvin Benn, managing director of Festival Republic, said: “Leeds Festival is among the top four or five rock music festivals anywhere in the world and this year we have another incredible line-up.”
